Sealant Mesh (also known as a compress) is a type of Covenant medical technology. The mesh is described as a thin sheet of bronze-colored material that, when properly affixed, will form a partial seal over wounds (allowing air to escape as the wounded person exhales but keeping it in when the person inhales). The mesh also contains a coagulant that will help keep the wounded person's blood inside their body. Sealant mesh is a temporary measure at best and, if given the time, most Covenant soldiers prefer to use an Automated Surgery Suite.
