Jan Lachauer is a German animator and director. Lachauer studied at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg and afterwards a one year internship at Studio Soi. Since 2007 he has worked as a freelance animator. His first film, along with Max Lang after his studies has been nominated for multiple awards. Lachauer and Max Lang won the 2013 Festival d'Animation Annecy award for Best Television Production.
