Lewis Carpenter was a camper found by Jake and Tobias during Book 47: The Resistance. He, along with his father and sister, were told that a battle was coming. They decided to help the Animorphs and stay and fight in the Hork-Bajir valley. The Carpenters didn't realize it was a matter of life and death until it was too late and the Yeerks were already pouring into the valley. Although both Lewis and Emily survive the fight, their father, Richard, was killed during the battle.
