The Barrenness Curse is a spell used to render a woman incapable of conceiving children. The incantation is as yet unknown. The Curse was once used by agents the American Wizarding Confederation under the provision of Article 6 of Confederation Law 843 to sterilize Squibs. In 1988, for instance, then 14-year-old Claudia Quick became a victim of the Curse on the orders Roanoke Governor Elias Hucksteen.
