When Forever Knight fans first started to organize into factions, there was some discussion among fans of Don Schanke as to the best name for their affiliation. Among the proposed names was Skankites, a name that was mentioned during War One. However, the only faction member who played preferred to use the name FoDs, which is the one that eventually became accepted.
