A legislative election took place in Sitka on Sunday, March 4, 2001, to elect the 100 members of the Second Assembly of Sitka. The incumbent government, led by Jadranko Fyodorov of the nationalist Independence Party of Sitka, sought a second term in office against the socialist Democratic–Farmer–Labour Party of Sitka led by Berend Nessler and the liberal Liberal Democratic Party led by Vaclav Sirota. A total of seventeen parties took part in the election, with ten being successful in winning at least one seat in the Assembly.
