The Solar Laser (also known as the High Frequency Infrared Reversion Laser) was a very powerful machine created by Herbert P. Bear. It was located in Herbert's Blackout Fortress during Operation: Blackout. It was used by Herbert to steal energy from the sun, causing the sun to be blocked out. As a result, this caused the overall temperature of the island being drastically reduced and all the buildings being covered in snow. Once the EPF Agent had breached the final Security Terminal, which was located in Herbert HQ, it self-destructed and as a result was destroyed during the mission.
