Alfre Woodard is an American film, stage and television actress who voiced Maisie in the 1999 Disney direct-to-DVD film The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue, Polly/Narrator in the short film John Henry, Plio in the 2000 Disney animated film Dinosaur, Mrs. Whatsit in A Wrinkle in Time, and Miriam Sharpe in Captain America: Civil War. She also played Mary Thomas in A Mother's Courage: The Mary Thomas Story, Ann Orkin in The Gun in Betty Lou's Handbag and Mariah Dillard in the Marvel/Netflix series Luke Cage.
