Emalet was the only daughter of the massive short eared owls Boldred and Hortwingle. Emalet was especially close to her father, Horty. She was also known to have given one of Brome's descendants a beautiful picture of Martin the Warrior and Laterose of Noonvale drawn by Boldred and placed in a locket.
