The Peace Defender, also known as the Galactic Republic Defender, is a starfighter that was created by the Incom Corporation specifically at the request of the galactic government some time before the Clone Wars. As a starfighter, the Peace Defender doesn't fare incredibly well in deep space combat, however in gravity wells it exceeded the standard for speed at the time of its creation quite well. It boasts advanced sensors, to allow for detecting threats to its respective planets and systems, and has moderately powerful shields.
