Team Sclera was a Space Pirate research team that made a breakthrough with Phazon experiments. By using the Vertigo strain of Phazon on Parasites, they were successfully able to complete Phazon mutation. As a result, Vertigo Phazon was used in Project Helix and was instrumental in the creation of Elite Pirates and the Omega Pirate.
