The Heald Wood in Swallowdale is up the Valley of the Amazon, below High Topps and to the west of the Lake. The charcoal burners are there, and Roger stays the night with Young Billy in their hut (wigwam) when he sprains his ankle. Titty only knew it was somewhere on the other side of the moor (High Moor) (SD34). The two younger natives, Bob and Jack (Mary Swainson's woodman) are there too, cutting trees down. Titty rides on the huge log drawn by three horses to Swainson's farm (SD30).
