Mekebve pollen caused a strong histamine reaction in Humans, Wookiees and most mammalian species, but not reptiles. Around 3 ABY, it was the bounty hunter and slaver Bossk's plan to use Mekebve pollen to incapacitate and capture Han Solo and Chewbacca by releasing it aboard the Millennium Falcon. Bossk tested the potency of the spores by pumping a very small amount into the ventilation system of the Hound's Tooth and exposed the Human, Tinian I'att Azur-Jamin and Chenlambec, her Wookiee Ng'rhr to the pollen. Both suffered severe allergic reactions even under such limited exposure.
