Located on the outskirts of the city of Labsburg, Bingen (originally a small town unconnected with Labsburg) is one of the economic hub's more prosperous and desirable suburbs and home to many young families of middle-class social status. The district comprises Bingen and some of the surrounding countryside, which has been heavily influenced by the proximity of the Labsburg urban area. A lightrail link links Bingen with Labsburg proper, but many also work within the services industry which is ubiquitous around Labsburg. A campus of the University of Labsburg is also located in the district. The suburb is one of the more multicultural areas of Labsburg.
