A legendary adventurer, mage, and Knight of Xilosia, Nestor Xilos Amatius is something of a folk hero, known mainly for his younger days of adventuring. Famous for his ability with both a sword and magic—and for his preference of talking above fighting, Nestor has traveled far and wide across the Imperium, helping to settle disputes and protect the common folk from danger wherever he goes. Later in life, he was awarded an honorary title of knighthood, and he quickly rocketed through the ranks of the Knights of Xilosia up to the position of Legate Praetor, owing to his tactical insight.
