Cobbanites is a perisphinctid ammonite, now extinct, that lived during the middle Jurassic. It is included in the subfamily Zigzagiceratinae with genera such as Gracilisphinctes, Lobosphinctes, and Zigzagiceras characterized by generally discoidal smooth involute to ribbed evolute shells with a deep umbilicus. Two species have been described, Cobbanites engleri and Cobbanites talkeetnanus (type).
