Simonds Steading was a Grayson steading, or feudal province. Steadholder Simonds joined his fellow lords of Bancroft and Oswald in leadership of the Faithful faction during the Civil War, until the armistice with the Moderates ended the war and provided for the Faithful's exile to the planet Masada. The Steading of Simonds was subsequently dissolved and incorporated into the Protector's personal demesne, but the Simonds family would go on to become leaders of the society established by the Faithful on Masada.
