You just need to discard the pieces of Exodia from your opponent's hand AND REMOVE IT FROM PLAY before they can all collect in the opponent's hand. That is all. Keep in mind that the opponent will have some backup measure s to fetch them out of the Graveyard, so be sure to remove at least one piece from play.
