The various governments of Dorvik have over the course of their history given out several dozen awards to both citizens of the nation and foreigners. Traditionally, the head of state has the authority to create, suspend, award and revoke awards and decorations of the Dorvish nation. These awards or either in the form of medals, commendations or orders. Currently, the President of the Dorvish Republic has the responsibility for this and serves as the honorary leader of many of the orders that he can bestow upon citizens and foreigners for their efforts to the Dorvish people and nation.
