GTA is an American EDM production duo formed in 2011 in Miami, Florida. The group is composed of producers Matthew Van Toth and Julio Mejia. GTA signed to Warner Bros. Records in the spring of 2014. Their sound is a blend of house music and hip-hop, showing influence of salsa and other Latin sub-genres. Van Toth and Mejia's "Death to Genres" mission statement for GTA is meant to reiterate the musical diversity of their production. Their debut release, It's Time, was released in 2011 on Afrojack's label, Wall Recordings. The duo performed from the Cosmic Meadow stage at Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 20, 2014.
