The Seren godbow has slightly higher accuracy and damage than the noxious longbow, in addition to providing its own ammo, like the zaryte bow. However, as it lacks the range of the noxious longbow and because it supplies its own ammo, it is extremely ineffective on the first phase of rune dragons as it cannot use dragonbane ammo, even if it is equipped. It cannot be used for Barbarian Firemaking. The Seren godbow has 60,000 charges of combat before degrading to a broken state. It can be recharged at a repair NPC for , or less on an armour stand.
