Mawk was a 24th century Ferengi individual who made a career as a travel agent. Mawk was Pharh's cousin. When Pharh's father offered Pharh a stipend to take a vacation, Pharh used the money to book passage to Qo'noS and had then begun to invest in waste reclamation. The remainder of the money was used to bribe Mawk to keep his whereabouts from Pharh's father. (DS9 - The Left Hand of Destiny novel: Book One)
