The scene takes place in the Corellian sector where a group of pilots (Nala Hetsime, Bindu, Rory, Meghan Rivers, Seito, Crimmins, Quillin Arkell) under the leadership of Hamo Blastwell are on a patrol mission. As they were ordered to meet back with Captain Verrack aboard the Maria, they were ambushed by TIE Defenders under the command of Rexler Brath, leader of the Onyx Squadron. Nala, Bindu, Rory, Meghan, Seito, Crimmins, and Quillin were killed, leaving Hamo to handle the fighters. As Hamo tries to contact Verrack, Brath shoots him down before he could escape.
