Su Douglas (born 8th November 1942 in Nottingham) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in October 1996 as Mrs Bardsley, a professional mediator who Jim and Liz McDonald met with in hope of sorting out their differences; and she returned to the programme in January and July 2012 as Meredith McGuire, a governor of Bessie Street School. On stage she has appeared in productions of Piaf, Whodunnit?, Colourings, Calendar Girls, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Broadway Bound, Lend me a Tenor, Double Falsehood, Cinderella and Last Confessions of a Scallywag.
