Halo: Legends is an animated television series set in the Halo universe, created and produced by Evil Nine. The series premiere is set for release on the SciFi Channel on May 8th, 2009. Set after the events of Halo 3, it covers the post-war period of the Milky Way galaxy after the Human-Covenant War. It deals with the various conflicts between the United Nations Space Command and the remnants of the Covenant Empire. The series is produced in high-definition, and has a 45-minute runtime like that of Evil Nine's other project, the Gears of War animated series.
