The USS ShirKahr (NCC-31905) was a 24th century Federation Miranda-class starship operated by Starfleet. The ShirKahr fought in the Dominion War, participating in the first Battle of Chin'toka in 2374. The ShirKahr was destroyed after taking heavy fire to its primary hull from the Cardassian orbital weapon platforms protecting the Chin'toka system. (DS9: "Tears of the Prophets") The ShirKahr was named for the capital city on Vulcan that was featured in The Animated Series episode "Yesteryear" . (Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 2, p. 274) )
