The 1901 English Club Championship was awarded to Princes Ice Hockey Club. It was their third consecutive title and third overall. According to the Glimpses of English Ice Hockey History section of Peter Patton's Ice Hockey (1936) book, there were "Matches at Princes staged against various scratch teams." Patton also noted that "On January 22nd, 1901, we stopped hockey practice game at 7.25 on the death of Queen Victoria being announced." Patton's book states that Princes won the Club Championship, but no contemporary sources verify it.
