Isaac Dingle is the son of Cain and Moira Dingle. He was born during a barn fire at Butlers Farm to an unexpecting Moira, who didn't even know she was pregnant. A small explosion inside the barn caused some crates to fall on Moira and trap her, but she was saved by Emma Barton, who assisted with the birth. Moira fell unconscious after losing a lot of blood and Emma ran off when seeing Adam Barton approaching. Isaac's paternity was unclear at first, as Moira had slept with both Cain Dingle and Pete Barton. Moira originally told Emma that her son Pete was the dad so she'd save her from the barn fire, but a paternity test showed Cain Dingle was the father, leaving Pete fuming as he'd come around to being a father.
