Like his powerful stone throwing weapon namesake, Captain Catapult used his magic cape to hurl himself through the air with ease striking terror into the hearts of evildoers everywhere. His secret identity as Corp. Tom Manley was discovered by Comics McCormick whose sister Connie was his romantic interest. Later at dinner, Mrs. McCormick said that Connie invited Corp. Manley to stay and eat, but he said he had important matters to attend to which Comics agrees. Comics' comment gets a surprised look from his sister Connie mostly likely wondering what Comics knew that she didn't.
