The Crow's Tongue was an oval-shaped salt marshy pond in the Shinomen Forest. It was said the spirit of Shinsei's Crow blessed the creatures of the swamp. The crow dipped its beak into the river on the day when Shinsei left Rokugan, and its tears salted the water forever. Folktales said the crow still lived there, waiting the return of its master.
