This effectively renders each team immortal until the Soul Crystal itself is destroyed, signaling the end of the battle. In some missions, only one team has a Soul Crystal. The objective of a mission is often to destroy the enemy Soul Crystal, or safeguard one's own Soul Crystal. Soul Crystals appear several times including in battles at the Fane of Gucuma Qul, Dalmasca Estersand, and Womb of Feolthanos. Enemy Soul Crystals are red, and the player's Soul Crystal is blue.
