A section of slums located in Dragaera City. Located directly north of the Imperial Palace, this was a run-down section of the city inhabited by poor Teckla and run mostly by the illegal activities of the Jhereg Organization. The Underside was an unsavory part of the city, punctuated by a terrible stench from open sewers and piles of refuse in the streets. It was largely unpatrolled by the Imperial Guard, even by day, and was extremely unsafe at night. It served to hide many of the activities of Garland's conspiracy during the events of Five Hundred Years After.
