Joe Belcher (29th August 1928 - 16th August 2006) played six roles on Coronation Street: * Railway porter Syd Greaves in September 1974. * Alec Lawton in November 1975. * George Carter, a stallholder on Weatherfield Market in November 1981. * A Shopkeeper in September 1989. * An Angler at the River Irwell in June 1991. * Archie Cox in November 1993. His other credits include Open All Hours, Only Fools and Horses and First of the Summer Wine.
