Milton Beychok has raised the question of how math expressions can be included in Wiki code. The answer is that many HTML tags can be directly used in the Wiki, including those for subscripts and superscripts - thus is is no great problem to write, e.g., m3 and NO2. There is help on which HTML tags are allowed in http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:HTML_in_wikitext
