Officer Krupky was a wall-eyed, bumbling "Muppet Keystone cop" who appeared on Sesame Street during the 1970's. He shares his name with the policeman from West Side Story. For one episode, Joseph A. Bailey wrote a piece for the character where he looks for Maria. Bailey visited the set to see the taping of the segment and instead, Krupky was replaced by his Muppeteer, Frank Oz, as a human police officer.
