The Nashville Ice Flyers played as part of the Central Hockey League at Nashville Municipal Auditorium from 1996–1998. Alexsandr Chunchukov lead the team in points in the 1996–1997 season, with 102 points. David Lohrei was the head coach for the 1997–98 season. They were previously know as the Nashville Nighthawks. Iain Duncan also played for the Ice Flyers in the 1997–98 season. Duncan had previously spent time in the NHL and the AHL.
