Stephen Gugel "Steve" Doig (born March 28, 1960 in Melrose, Massachusetts) is a former professional American football who played in the National Football League for the Detroit Lions (1982–1984) and the New England Patriots ( 1986–1987) He was a 3rd round selection (69th overall) of the 1982 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions out of the University of New Hampshire. While attending North Reading High School, he was also a hockey player.
