The Dondrago (also known as Nereid in the SNES/PS version) is an enemy in Chrono Trigger. First appearing in the Abandoned Sewers in the Future, Dondrago are aquatic lizards that lurk in the sewage and waste water of the sewers. Shown only from the neck up, they are mostly submerged in water when encountered in battles and sport yellow fins on either side of their heads. Occasionally, Dondrago hide beneath the waters of the Abandoned Sewers and are startled by loud noises produced by various items stationed around this area such as the phony Save Point or the stray Cat. Once Crono touches the object and startles the creatures, they lurch forth and attack.
