The Genesis sector was a region of space located within the Mutara sector. This subsector consisted of the planet Genesis and its primary. In 2285, the USS Enterprise dropped out of warp as it entered the Genesis sector on its way to the Genesis planet. At this point of time it was also detected by Kruge's Bird-of-Prey.
