Solidarity Forever is the current national anthem for the Democratic Republic of the Pacific and was adopted by the National Assembly on 8 December 2009. The song was selected not to reflect labor unions, as it was originally intended, but to reflect the union of a nation bombarded by threats from all sides of its borders. On 8 December 2009, the song was adopted by the IInd National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of the Pacific as the national anthem, replacing the former Washington State song Washington, My Home
