Kim Kurland is an AUSA. She and ex-FBI Agent Pete Sanders were the original agents assigned the Grave Digger case. In The Hero in the Hold was mentioned that she died at a car accident in Boston. It is possible that Heather Taffet sabotaged Kirland's car in order to kill her and take control of the Gravedigger case.
