Dave the Dog appeared behind the little door, in the Mopatop's Shop episode "The Brave Canary". Dave wanted the big juicy bone that Mopatop offered the viewer during the opening of the episode. As Mopatop gave the bone to Dave, he thanked Mopatop by saying he are the best Mopatop in the world. The dog puppet was used in various roles on the show, mainly poping up behind the little door during the opening of the show.
