Mr. Ellsworth was a Moroi teacher whom Rose had in fifth grade at St. Vladimir's Academy. In Shadow Kiss, he was one of the people who were taken away by Strigoi during the attack at the academy. While been held prisoner, he was used by the Strigoi for feeding until he was later rescued and made it out safe. Before he escaped, he noticed a Moroi using fire on the Strigoi. When Emil wanted to know what was going on in the caves, Mr. Ellsworth explained everything to him.
