During her time in school, Daphne earned the nickname the Ice Queen of Slytherin because of her cold demeanour towards others and affinity for ice spells, which she once used to freeze Gregory Goyle's privates after she got tired of his unwanted advances. In their fifth year, Daphne successfully convinced Harry Potter to allow the entry of a few Slytherins whom did not wish to follow to the Dark Lord, changing the other D.A. members' perception of Slytherins. Daphne participated in the Battle of Hogwarts and fought alongside her sister, Astoria. Unfortunately, the Battle ended up costing the lives of both her parents, devastating both her and her sister.
