The Nefasvermis (in Japanese: ネファスバーミス, Nefasubaamisu) (lit. "Worm of Sin" in Latin) are shadowy bat-shaped demon spirits that are enemies in Devil May Cry 2. Thousands of these fiends are seemingly composed of darkness. They served as the energy conduits between the giant monster Nefasturris and the Demon World. Once they combine with a skyscraper, they formed a grotesque humaniod creature from the building and bring it to life. The Nefasvermis are very small and completely weak and they can be destroyed with the sub-machine guns. The Nefasvermis shared the same weakness with their 'cousins'.
