Kilmanin was a legendary town in Ireland. Seamus, a resident of Fair Haven, claimed that a group of travelers visited Kilmanin in 1846. The townsfolk welcomed them, until strange occurrences began happening shortly thereafter. According to legend, Kilmanin and its people disappeared, possibly into the spirit world. After witnessing Tom Paris repair his car's flat tire using what appeared to be magic, Seamus feared that Paris might be among the spirit folk, like those responsible for Kilmanin's demise. (VOY: "Spirit Folk")
