Once Metro-City's loyal vigilante protector, Vortex, was murdered, a storm of crime crashed upon the city until the all-powerful deity, Sutekh, took control of all of the street gangs and combined them into one army of malevolent henchmen. With a squad of crime lords (Rat King, Goliath, Lord Muck, and Ninja Mistress) and their minions under his command, Sutekh swallows the town with chaos until a rookie vigilante, Nightshade, comes into site. However, despite Sutekh's god-like power and militia of skilled thugs, Nightshade eventually beat him and saved the city from any further chaotic destruction.
