The color of the House of Placidus, and subsequently the city and surrounding regions, is "a rich, deep emerald [green] whose dye was derived from a plant found only in the high reaches of the mountains near Placida" (Academ's Fury chapter 21). In Princeps' Fury it show's Lord Placida has mounted, on horseback, an entire Legion. The city itself is on of the Alera's large cities.
