Long ago, Megatron was Jolt, an Autobot who lived on Cybertron after the end of the Machine Wars. He, like Optimus Prime many years before him, worked in the Iacon Hall of Records, where he discovered much about the history of the Decepticons, and slowly he became brainwashed by this knowledge and began to desire power, and that greed then consumed. Changing his name to Megatron, he gathered a group of rebels from across Cybertron and had them storm the capital Building, where the Autobot High Council sat. The rebellion failed, however, and the Decepticon band was captured and imprisoned. All but one.
