Anborn was a Dunadan Scout who served in the Rangers of Ithilien. His company was led by Faramir during the War of the Ring (T.A. 3018-19). A strong, careful, perceptive, and obedient soldier, he proved to be a valuable and vigilant Scout. It was Anborn who actually succeeded in sneaking up on Gollum and capturing him.
